yes... the one u tried is Explorer I. Ex II comes with date and cyclop, and white/black dials....

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD i have to come back n tell u guys this. I just finished lunch and so decided to go Rosendorffs to have a look at the watches (im not based in sg).

I tried on the Men's(blue face) and ladies(black face) datejust midsize with diamond dial...I think it looks nice, BUT, a tad too feminine for me, probably something I would buy later down the road.

I tried on the submariner BUT, its too bulky for me cuz i have a bony wrist.

I tried on the EXPLORER II and YES, i think thats the one for me. The size is just nice, n no bling bling diamonds (for my age i think diamond is too overstated). Then again the salesgirl say there is only the blackface available...which is according to the catelogue, and without date. It retails for AUD5980(hows the price???) then she say can prolly give 5% discount n prolly can negotiate a bit more(with her sheepish smile). What do u think? The only qn i have is

1) does Explorer only comes in black face?
2) does it only comes without date?
3) The number is 114270, does it means anything? new model or old model? But on the namecard she wrote Explorer I only leh..isit Explorer I i was trying on?

The reason y im thinking of changing my timepiece is becuz ive been wearing this tag for few yrs already, since 17(u do the calcs) n din really bear to take it off cuz im pretty attached to it n moreover its a gift from my mum so it holds sentimental value. But then its been too long haha..

Anyway back to business. I think it Exp II or the Sub is very nice and suits ladies very well...But the Exp II white face gets my vote.

Regarding yr qns, I would suggest Explorer 2.. somehow don't look as chunky as Sub Date. Its thinner than the Sub Date so I reckon it will fix a ladies wrist better.

Ideally, go to a shop and try both out.. you never know what you may like till you tested it on yr wrist..

take the explorer II if you got skinny wrist and sub if got robust wrist. skinny wrist refers to can see bone type, vice versa for robust. this is because the submariner is thicker compared to explorer II.

if ur wrist is bony, hard to carry off the sub *IMHO*

ideally, you should try out both on your wrist to see the overall look.

agreed that it never too big for ladies, infact i notice most ladies on white dial Exp II, follow by non-date sub, haven encounter one wif sub-date yet. ExpII matches them well wif both casual/formal dressing.
