Now, you have touched my soft spot man... Your parent reminds me of mine who have sacrificed everything for the kids and yes they are still very frugal. They would not spend anything lavish on themselves even we have all grown up. Gosh, I need to save up for a couple Rollies now.

Yes, the small rojak collection of vintage & contemporary watches I have now have not lost their values so far since I started my hobby in 2006 with my 1st love of a vintage IWC Solid Gold Cal 95 with a matching vintage IWC gold buckle (specially ordered)

I guess the key of investments is in diversification of different asset class which I broadly segregate (my version of little golden goose, I hope) into:
1. Safe & Risk Free (Govt Bills, FD, etc)
2. Equity & Related (Shares, Unit Trust, etc)
3. Properties (Condo, Land)
4. Exotics (Wines, Arts, Horological)

But it will be suicide to pull all my eggs in watches or what nots. However nothing gives the best pleasure being able to enjoy my timepieces while preserving the value and maybe make money of them.
