  • Rolex Oyster Roya??

    Dear Bros of Roc,

I have inherited a Rolex Oyster Royal from my late Grandpa. By looking at it, the bracelet is definitely note a genuine rollie bracelet. But the Watch??

not sure, wait for more people to chime in. I saw one fella selling me a TV in Oz, he had daytona with the same bracelet as yours... looked stupid to have such a bracelet on a nice looking watch.

      Bro,

Thanks for ur reply to this thread. IMO i think the watch may be genuine. But got no box or paper since it's inherited.

Apart from that, it also requires major overhaul. The face got hairline crack on top. Somemore the dial is already dirty and abit yellowish.
      Cheers!

i wouldnt change the dial since it is of sentimental value and very nice for it to age a nice yellow. if you clean the lens you will find the watch appearance a lot better and the dial will shine back at you too.

if you are after a restorer, im sure there is one in s'pore who will do good job, alternatively you can contact http://www.clockmaker.com.au they do excellent watch restoration. So may be worth your while to check them out.
