  • My Forray into Rolex... the 6694.

The evergreen 6694... simple & elegant.

With cert dated 17 June 1983.

Wld like to learn more from seniors here.... Is this considered over polished??

And I was wondering... over the years, this watch had probably changed several hands. How much of the original watch could still be intact? Like the oyster bracelet & the dial?

I'm not a purist...., I am not expecting the watch to be vintage until no parts have been changed. I am happy as long as original parts being used to refurbish the watch.

To my untrained eye, this looks pretty original to me?

    Would appreciate all comments!

Beautiful piece in pretty good condition bro

Bracelet is original but exact same bracelet that came with the watch? Nobody knows Cos all these can be interchanged between all the original Rolexes.

Based on the pics, I believe all are original rolex parts.

Overpolished or not...I m not gonna say that it's really overpolished but of course it has been polished before. It's acceptable for the watch of this age.

            Lastly..enjoy your watch

Fully agree with you bro! Appreciate your observations. I bought the watch w/o knowing much about Rolex, just based on a trusted friend's recommendation. Happy to know all's original, that's all that matters. And lastly, i'm enjoying the watch everyday at the office!

                          Thanks bros!

For a watch almost 30 years old..... it sure looks as new as it can be! That's the amazing thing about these watches, they are built to last for generations! I'm keeping this one for my 6 year old son!
