Is this the correct box for this model?
I didnt declare my 6694 come with box & papers cos i was unsure about the box. But at least it is original Rolex box, so i no complain. But i do intend to source for the correct box to complete this set.
cheers!

from the angle of this picture, i would not say it is over-polished compared to some of them that i have seen. i can still see the chapering on the top left and bottom right. so it is still quite a good condition watch case. for the lower right, is there some scratches?
i would also be concern if there are any rust under the case back which can occur for a watch of this age.
the minute hand looks like it has been changed before, whether it is original or not. hard to tell. for the hour hand, it looks like there is blemish on lume towards one end. however, both hands lume looks consistent
the magnification of the date looks ok which means that the acrylic is likely to be original.
lastly, for under 2k for a 6694 with papers, it is a decent price to pay. you may want to start to source for a matching box to complete this set.

And I was wondering... over the years, this watch had probably changed several hands. How much of the original watch could still be intact? Like the oyster bracelet & the dial?
To my untrained eye, this looks pretty original to me?
Would appreciate all comments!

Thanks bros!
For a watch almost 30 years old..... it sure looks as new as it can be! That's the amazing thing about these watches, they are built to last for generations! I'm keeping this one for my 6 year old son!
