  • My current Rolex collection - wristshots

Been a journey at SGROC and Rolexforums, got poisoned as usual.

I fell in love with Rolex after my first which was a 14060M, then the rest is history...

Undergoing a revamp of my collection and sold away many watches to fund Rolex. Still selling though, MM300 just left me yesterday.

Hope to add a Daytona (prob. white) soon to complete my Sports collection*.

    Enjoy the wrist shots!

    *DISCLAIMER:
I sold my Milgauss GV so not sure if will get the black one later as it has always been the controversial Sports model.
The Deepsea has proved to be too big for my puny wrist so I omited her, may or may not get a Sea Dweller again.

So you have turned from a Seiko guy to a Rolex guy?

I like the blue sub the most...

My head still turn whenevr I see a NOS Seiko...after all, it was what got me started in this madness. Now left 3 Seikos in my collection. Will they stay? Maybe? Maybe not?

Looks like I never go into Grand Seiko now...

i stayed away from seiko after buying a HMM300 and found out the tube was not replaceable, the "GS-level" movement (like all seiko movements) is thick and that they only use a screw style regulator with a flat hairspring. (i applaud spron, among other innovations)

i already have a 6159 so it seemed like i wasted my money on the mm300 which is (IMO) no better than the original version. the early ratcheting clasps were not properly machined and cut/dug into my wrists a lot. it also didn't fit my HMM300 well.

i still have a few seikos in my collection and rightly so... but i find it difficult to pay good money for GS. seiko can do better, movement-wise. finishing is not the end-all.

emotionally, spring drive does not reach out to me nor can i bond with it. seiko needs to develop a mechanical watch in the same vein that lexus adopted when they developed the LFA.

Blue tutone sub is the most attractive in my view - and your collection is of sport watches is really expansive.
