                        • Regular and Stiff shaft!

                          Hi all,

Just wanna check out the opinions of u guys regarding the differences between regular and stiff shafts. I was told to buy a stiff shaft by an AD, saying that since I m still young and have a fast downswing, i should use stiff shaft.
Currently also using graphite shafts on my irons, thinking of changing it to steel shafts. Any idea how much will it cost in sg? For example, NS pro or similar kind.
                          What are ur opinions?
                          Thanks!

                          • Think it very personel and varys from person to person, like myself.....Been using R Flex grahite for my Driver, lately it keen going right. Had a swing test and adviced from the real Muarchee, i change my Driver to Nike SQ 5000 with TourAD stiff and my drive now long and straight....average 200m.

My irons still R flex grapite and still give me good distance and control.

Why don't you go for a swing test etc, sure will help your game

                              • by today standard, graphite shafts are very good; low torque and steel shafts are getting lighter. so the gap is really closing. if you are dead serious about improving your game, a custom fitted set will do good justice. however you will have to develop a solid and repeatable swing first as otherwise the fit will not be exact.

other than shaft flex, there are factors like torque, 'kick point' and frequency etc. then there is the grip, thickness and its weight. the chaps at the custom shop will be most knowledgeable and willing to help.
