  • Ipad irritating pop ups

When surfing on safari, there is now this irritating pop up window that will link to App Store.

it doesn't matter I click ok or cancel. It will still come out after a few minutes. Irritating.

a search on google yield no solution.

after andriod moves backwards, now it's apple. Haiz.

Sounds like an ad from the browser. No?

Ok Safari is Apple's, but can't you just use another browser?

I think it's certain sites activated the pop up automatically.

once it's linked, there is no way to stop it. The ad that's linked have no relation at all to the site.

Just tried Atomic. Same pop up. Haiz.

damn. What can I switch to then? Samsung note?

this is more irritating than andriod.

That is possible too. Just asked my wife who uses Safari on her ipad mini but she is not aware of such issue. Maybe it is an "add-on" that can be turned off somewhere? I can only guess since I am not an Apple guy hehe.

While we are at the topic of browsers for tablets/smartphones...

My experience is that the conventional browsers that started off with PC (e.g. Safari/Chrome/Firefox etc) don't always offer better/more user friendly browser for touchscreen tablets & smartphones.

For me, a simple yet able to be customized tool bar, plus a bookmark feature that is easy to use and manage, are important when come to phones & tablets. I have been using the Boat Browser for Android for quite a while now and am happy with it.

For me browsers don't need much function.
Just need bookmark that is easy to use.
                      And working for all sites.

Sadly, mobile browsers still have display and supporting issues.
                      Flash, java problem.

However, even desktop versions have their own support issues that even the software company cannot solve.
