    guys,

anyone of you bought a watch because of its brand ambassador? sometimes i wonder if it's really useful for watch brands to appoint ambassadors..personally i don't care who's the endorser (Brad, Arnold or John Travolta) but the funny thing about me is that if it's an asian celebrity endorsing it, i won't buy that watch...dunno why? like aaron kwok/andy lau for Cyma/Titus/Longines..

i think maybe when a watch is associated with an event or sports (F1, Olympics, Tennis, Golf and etc), it's more effective...

    cheers

Nah.. not too bothered... those not so commercialise brands like Breguet, IWC, JLC etc.. nobody endorse but still sell by itself so..

Reckon the marketing campaign behind those celeb endorsing the brand is to push a particular model / series to the respective target audience.. (fan followers, yappies, etc) or rather for the more mass market. Cos the upper market don't need no pushing.

    Desired horologes ...

    - IWC Portuguese Automatic
    - GMT II
    - GMT IIc TT
    - Reverso Squadra Hometime (7008620)/ Reverso Squadra
    - Master Eight Days (1608420)
    - U1
    - IWC Aquatimer

An exquisite timepiece, brings timeless memories and precious moments...

i dont think endorsement is a factor to me.

however, i do know that when a particular watch is spotted on a well-known public figure, that watch will sometimes become very sought after.....

it works to a certain extent........ i especially like collaboration between RM and felipe massa...... not forgetting JLC and valentino rossi.......

one of my sporting heroes is michael schumacher but i never like the speedmaster models that bore his name.....

so depends on who and also the watch.......
