Not anymore. Even dress watch has to be at least 40mm IMO.

Whatever the trend is, the watch has to look nice on you; big or small.

And yes, I wear watches of that case size.

Yes, 38mm is a good size 20 years ago. Now it is deemed too small for men. 38mm has become ladies' size. Times change. People change. Move along with the times or become outdated. A company that doesn't make a lot of changes to their designs like Rolex has to accept the trend and move along. They have to face reality and come out with watches of bigger sizes or they will lose market share.

I find it too small after accustomed to 44mm.

Now days is very common to see ladies wearing 40mm to 50mm.
                            The market has change.
Previous I thought 40mm to 42mm is the range that I`m looking for.
Until I put on a 47.5mm. I feel comfortable with it.

Despite the trend of large watches, there is a place for watches that are 38mm and smaller in my collection. I like variety, and I buy watches that I like regardless of the size. The watches I have range from 35mm, all the way to 48mm. At the end of the day, the watch goes on your wrist, so just buy/wear what you like.
