furthermore, its so obvious that PR that wrote the letter doesnt love Singapore. To them, here is just an opportunity. if don get what they want, they will just pack up and leave (i.e. if her girl no get to good sch, why should they stay?)

stayed 6 years and stilll refusing to give up citizenship is most prob they plan to go back in the future. Like this can take back CPF with them mah.

In fact, not all mainstream teachers are actually trained to deal with special kids. This is the reason why many parents want to send their kids to top-tier primary schools as they are normally the ones with special needs staff.

Most kids in good schools do well because they have the additional practice. No matter how good a tutor is, he/she is still not familiar with the way an exam paper is set or the range of accepted answers which will vary from year to year depending on SEAB. That is the reason why so many teachers are not willing to be tutors because the job scope is already so demanding. Afterall, work is never completely done. There are always worksheets to plan, curriculum to review, targets to set and of course tests and examination papers to set.
    agree...

...but i wht i trying to say is .. spending of parents do play a part in maintaining good sch track record

it's the jst they allocate too little for phrase 2c... eg. nanyang, mgs, rgps ...( use tis 3 sch, had experience while applying ) ... 8 - 30% ( depneding on yr ) outta total avail seat...
so with no 'relation' .. those in 2c is like lucky draw loh.

i think they should reduce those earlier phrase allocation... example, if u see those earlier phrase of say nanyang, majority of them in each phrase belong to the abv 2km ... ... only phrase 2c is the other way round... majority under 1km.........so even if u stay say at bukit timah just abv 1km away, yr chances is basically zero.... but applicant mom whos a old girl but stay in tampines... no problem sure get in

Child B is entering Nanyang pri school. Child A is entering Oceanlassik pri school. Ha ha.... joking only.... but at least Child A and B do have a choice and a chance...

B has a choice of another school just 2 blocks away but insist to vie with many others for the further-away school. After ballot, B got it while A didn't. Now, A has to travel a longer distance by bus/mrt/lrt to a school that is 10 blocks away when there's one just next to his/her door-step. Make sense or not?!
