For the past 2 nights I had some officil dinner to attend and coincidentally the guy seated beside me for both nights (2 diff pax) are all wearing GMT Master 2. Think its a sign.

Might forgo my Pam purchase if I could find one in Japan next week. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I called two shops just now to enquire abt their 16710. Was quoted 7.9k and 7.4k. I nearly laughed my balls off.

is it brand new or pre-own? if brand new, it is considered good price for local piece.

as it is currently still hot, that explains for the price.

Pheng Kwee, to me warning bell rang the moment the shop is full of sales girls that was the place i nearly bought a daytona from, at first they kept asking for the money, I asked if the daytona came with box and papers yes, yes, now hand over the money. While they where filling in the sales invoice, I asked for the box, it was not the original, when i asked for the paper work they handed me a Phenk Kwee hand written invoice saying that is it.

I walked away and just as well bought a brand new one in HK, for the same price as Pheng Kwee 3 year old one, no box and no real paers.

im not sure if you can say they are truly dishonest. in the end, seller still provided box and papers, but mismatch box and papers not bearing rolex names.

when one ask for box and papers, they say have is correct. this is because when buyer ask for box and papers, buyer is referring to original box and papers. but to the seller, so long as i provide box and papers, seller has fulfilled end of bargain unless buyer specifically ask for original matching box and papers.

u need to specify original 116520 box and original rolex certificate/card. then if they still say have. then is truly dishonest.

this is why they are known for wat we call "peng kwee" aka pretty expensive. to me, i just dont bother going there, it is a waste of my time.

there was once, i went there and ask them how much is the explorer II, they say 5k. then i ask them how much will they take my explorer II with box and papers, they say 4.5k. i say ok. open my bag, brought out my watch and box and papers. they got shock, then i say, 4.5k deal? they told me to wait. need to check with boss can take in or not. i reply, dont bother, i just checking nia. walk off.
