Both r fine as long as u don't overstretch yourself.. Buying pre own maybe can get u a model that u want while buying brand new for the same model might hurts your pocket a little more.. If u r fine, then just go for brand new..

Vintage Rolex dont have brand new all pre owned.
And thats the cool thing about it, each vintage watch has its own story.

And the amazing thing is vintage Rolex is more expensive than modern current day Rolex.

    Muayhahahahaha

new rolex are really too expensive to afford. I bought preowned at 50% of their prices! so the resale value be much better.

Sometimes you gotta go on secondary market for vintage pieces

I will prefer brand new for my 1st Rolex which I got it new at oversea AD. Price seems to be better out there.
Getting from local AD might be slightly more ex but you will have a piece of mind that the watch is authentic and the service they provide.

because the resale value for expensive watch usually suffer higher losses.

    $8000 watches loss of 20% is 1600
$2000 watches loss of 20% is only 400. Hence my decision is based on this calculation.
thats a great theory to abide to

depends on how you like the watch.
if i really like a watch i'll buy it brand new
