wnt to AD abt 5+, wow .. a super chio bu come attend me... ask to see a watch, nearly gv full ball... hahhaa... was quick to agreed on the watch; after tht, she push out another couple of other watches for me to see, i say hold first, hungry, wnt to go makan. she tell me her break soon, offer to buy me makan at subway, okie lah. On, during makan, i cant help myself staring the OO .. ... but it was mostly all watch tok, after makan, i kanna bluff another couple of buys ... anyway, no regret, luv those watches and freebies ... hahahahah hmm, she called me after couple of days ( got my contact frm form ) .. to ask me to go .... *** dont 1 to tell u all leow ... Want name or not, can kasiow to u all, there hor got another chio 1 also

It's just luck la...I have to say. Maybe that day that sales person havent reach sales quota then treat u abit better lor...hahaha

aiyah... so many stories to read. its interesting to see how people react.

normally i just walk out half way while they are talking if i find the staff to be a bit rude. i did that once in SLS, where the staff act blur when I was speaking english (since Im not able to speak mandarin) whilst trying to upsell me on something that was useless, and since my eng accent not "local" so to speak, they think can carrot chop me.

selling to asians in perticular is toh hui (vomit blood). they research, look, take their time to decide, and ask more questions, go away and think, come back and ask ask, then look once more, touch, go away.................... spend so much time and never buy. then you get those who buy and come back and find trouble with your wares and want disc, free gift, refund, etc etc.

so far all my experience in ADs (s'pore and overseas) are quite nice. i think got many reasons
a) i always dress in business attire
b) that TT really does get the attention of the SA and give them impression of "substance" (not showing off, but true sadly)
c) i do not talk normally, since i give the impression that dont f with me, i know what i want, and you better not pull fast one
d) my face not accurate of my age - so they think im older then i actually am.

to be honest, i have dismissed potential customers due to their premises, dress, etc. it is human nature and cannot be helped. imagine if we spend all day with every customer, we kenna earn nothing (i also in sales). therefore we play dirty and do judgement.

having said that, my father once wore really short work shorts; a shirt (tucked in) and carry a cheap Oz army bag. and the staff at THG NAC treated him really nice. quote him price with discount, and promise of further discounts once confirm purchase; also the shop busy with people and he still find time to talk to my father. so there are some nice people around, just need to find them

I've stopped being bothered by this kind of thing. My reasoning is like this:

1) Can you blame them? If my livelihood depends mainly on completed sales, btw 2 possible customers, I also zoom to the one which I think is more likely to buy (whether white, yellow, black or green skin).

3) You cannot stop ppl from judging you based on your appearances. When I first started working, I noticed immediately that I get better treatment when I'm in my office attire as compared to my standard weekend t-shirt, berms and slippers attire. So, if I receive good service, I make it a point to thank the person and remember his/ her name and next time, i will recommend him/ her to friends or buy from him. If service is krap, I just walk. Cannot even be bothered to tekan him/ her, cause it's a waste of my time...

so, relaxxxxxx, no need to get worked up over something like this...

i very much agree with you. as a sales person, job is to have sales. so cannot avoid this kind of treatment if too young like Darkangel. no disrespect to him, but when an adult and a teenager walks into say an AD, the sales person will zoom in on adult because logic thinking says adult is more likely to get a watch compared to a teenager.

as for appearance, those who met me will know that i dress sloppy for work and gathering. likewise why i keep going back to a particular AD, they not only offer the service im looking for, but also keep me updated on things. however, there was once i whack the branch manager because of the service he provided. no excuse.
