Currently, all 3 are rolex. Currently aiming for another 2 to make up trinity.

Practically, 3 watches would be more than enough for me.

However, I think you all know that it is so easy to get carried away with a hobby such as watch collecting .... and in no time at all.... you end up with more pieces than you can handle. I have over 30 - 40 pieces in my collection, of which I only wear 2 of them!

I'd say about 10-20 pieces should satisfy the cravings of any watch collector.
Perhaps to categorize them would be a better rule of thumb:

1. "Show-off" Watches (For special occassions or just for the heck of it!)
2. Dress watches (For more serious days at work/school)
3. Sports watches (Weekend or dress down days at work)
4. Daily Beaters (For trips to the mall, hawker centre etc)
5. Novelties (Just to admire)
6. "Humble" Watches (For really rough wear, travelling, School, Reservist etc...)

From here, with about 1-3 pieces in each category, 10-20 pieces is derived : )
