Big sized forums or Small sized forums?

I just want to hear some views here. I believe there are many regulars here...and many are also from other forums.

So...what's your take on this? Do you like a big sized forum or a small 1?

Let me start the ball rolling...

Small forums like Sg-ROC

Pros: Small and homely place with some really nice people,people here are more closely knitted and friendly.

Cons: Information may not be that great or updated as the bigger forums.

Big forums like HWZ,VRZONE,TZ etc

Pros: Great pool of knowledgable people,you get some of the best from all over the world or in your local country. Updated with the latest information

Cons: The people may not be very patient with newbies,lots of flamers,some unfriendly people here and there. Hard to find someone that's nice to chat with on the forum sometimes.


I like it small because of the people and big because of the info. My best solution is....get some "spies" to report the latest infos and keep the nice feeling and people in small forums.

I really love SG-ROC...I want to thank our boss & founder,louisoh, fellow founders notthinghill and ohlins. Fellow moderators,triton,MG,MP,Keltzar and all the regulars and members. Gave me the chance to meet great people...that share a common interest

And if you want to ask why I started this thread..dun worry we are not gonna close down this place! Hahaha...

normally big one got many crazy people talk rubbish... also can't keep up with the replies... if topic is hot, after you write, next minute you see 10 pages of replies... where got so much time to read all....

Chances are big forums....some are not very friendly...like HWZ 1

Larger forums have larger varieties of human characters. This is where I believe the mods come in i.e. to be a kinda referee and manage the situation when it gets ugly. IMHO, the mods here have done a fine job. Kudos to them.

not jst big or small... eg sg-roc narrow down to a certain topics, so these members all similar interest loh...

bigger means more messy also...

eg... fishing forum, some user hantham here there.. fishing very indv, so is watch.. so 1 may end up agrue on some stupid things....but for watch, its not so big an audience and also members are more mature compare to other mass forum..

som forum very strict, eg KNN also consider censor

other forums with too much ppl then some are really nasty. I rem sometime back I posted to sell IT stuff, PM me then fly me kite when meetin to deal. WTFish. Here is one of those rare ones where e ppl here r nice..

Most of the BIG FORUMS got Pilots from Various Airlines and most of them Fly AEROPLANES for a living...haha.. Me dont post my watches there, waste time and lots of reply from PILOTS...
