  • Current Economic Crisis - 2008

starting this thread as i saw some fellow members posting their opinion in another section, another thread. so let's do some discussion here.

personally, i feel that the worst is not over. a fellow forum member told me that if something happens during the olympics, the market will go down. and yes it is true. happened during the para olympics.

so let's see how deep this pit is, how wide this pit is. hold on to your spare cash. opportunities will be coming.

Maybe time to liquidate some of your watches for that attractively priced property or blue chip stock? Where there's a will, there's a way...
Time is too precious to be measured by a cheap watch...

In times like this... buying pieces of paper (stock) vs buying something that you can really feel in hand (gold, oil, commodities, rolex) makes more sense.

Crisis? What Crisis? That depends on where you are sitting. Markets freefall all over the world EXCEPT middle east. I'd say... if got money and balls, buy a one-way ticket there and start to sell something, anything...

Today stock market continue to drop further. Those who intend to shop for cheap stock may hve to be careful. Worst hit is those in financial sector. Don't think it's over, could be just the beginning.

I've a investment policy with AIA. Nowaday, money put where also not safe.

Dun worry about AIA. Singapore's insurance industry is tightly regulated by MAS. There is even a tycoon in Singapore that brought AIG shares for 1 million USD1.8 because he is sure that it won't go bust after his research...true enough it went up twice its value. Instant 100% return. But he is rich lah...plus donate LKY shares to charity somemore.
