Outram Park. demolished already. used to be a busy place. many shops, department store (The Chancellor), coffee shop, restaurant (tai seng, dragon phoenix, yan palace used to be there), hawker centre. Have 4 huge ponds in the estate with color theme, Green, Yellow, Blue and Red. Whenever there change water, it will be a big task. so much water, so many fishes. escaped fish jumping by the drain. Later, converted the pond into playground and garden.
Behind got Pearl Hill can play too. Got a pond that have a invisible track that can walk one.
As time goes by, the estate seems to aged into obsecurity...

Older peers would bring me to Yangtze for arcade games, Pacman & the Tank game were favorites!
I miss my grandparents so much...

Yes, Yangtze arcade shop. That shop close due to the banning of enterainment/arcade centre in singapore. Yangtze also got a mama shop that can play ti-kum to win rubber bouncing ball, yoyo that kind of toys. I dun understand why Yangtze has become sleazy as years gone by.Originally posted by kel12 View PostNice! I grew up with my grandparents in Outram Park! Blk 28, pri sch was Pearl's Hill... I grow up at Blk 24, the green zone. Then the 2 dim sum shop at Blk 31, which open from 5 am. i think. The better one is the Dai Tung. My Pri Sch is Outram Primary School but i think is fully demolished now. haha.

Stayed in the cheapest part of Tanglin Road - SIT flats already demolished 30+ years ago.
Many fond memories of childhood times. Catching longkang guppies and going to Botanic Gardens
and surrounding areas on bicycles. One of our present minister and one ex NMP was staying there too!
