    wnt bkk quite a few times, stay b4:

    grand china princess chinatown... this 1 lauya, nothing much nearby
    other hotel i stay b4: novetel siam sq, meridien, grand hyatt, pathumwan princess.. not too bad, wnt shopping, nearby got leow...

      Check this out Bangkok Rooftop venue. I have only been to Vertigo and Rooftop bar. Vertigo is nice and you can give Rooftop bar a miss. Sirocco looks nice but me never been there. Hope this helps.

              you can look for chinese shops and communicate to them in cantonese, they can then divert you on where to go

                in Thailand chinese there speak teochew and hokkien....not in hk leh...cantonese is a no go..lol

                  if u speak cantonese, may as well speak english...btw simple english will juz do fine there..hahahaha...i dun speak thai too..can survive de lar...hahaha...if come to gals...let ur body do the talking..no talking is needed...hahahahaha

                    i had a feeling that in thailand speak cantonese........ . Noted hokkien is fine by me Means I have no worries if I go thailand. Last time my old man was in BKK they spoke cantonese

                    im sure most people have a grasp of english with differing degrees of understanding. The young guns would have a strong grasp of the language.

                      hahaha...i speak hokkien to them and the locals reply me in teochew...esp in chinatown and massage places...hehehe.....so i m perfectly comfortable to go bangkok..in fact i be going in aug..hehehe....

                              go and learn lah.........my grandmother is teochew, and learning abit. last time one of my workmate she also speak teochew, but of viet origin, so learn from her too
