  • DIY Cable-Keeper

I’ve noticed many people on trains and buses listening to their media players while commuting. One common problem I see is the messy, knotted-up cables/wires of their headsets.

Having just owned my first MP3 player, I encountered the same problem. That’s why I decided to make a “Cable-keeper” and will share how I make this with you.

First step is to get some Hardcard, preferably 1.5mm thick. Draw out the design. Cut both identical pieces with a sharp art-knife.

Next, wrap both pieces with your choice of fabric/material and paste them (2 halves) together. Cut slots into the cable-keeper for the wires to slide-in.

Once glue dries, coil your headset wire around your new “cable-keeper”, adjusting the cable to your desired length.

You’re now all set! Avoid those knotted-up cables… Enjoy!

But you are a genius to me...hehe I will never have an engineering brain like yours...haha. Also, I will most probably buy one at $12.90 instead of DIY myself. I am too lazy...
