Are they purposely doing that because of design?
Haha, I was just looking at my U-boat Flight-deck MBG's green numerals yesterday and noticed the same thing! If they do it purposely because of the design then that's a great excuse to be shoddy, so a tad disappointed.
I was thinking of getting the lume redone properly and possibly in different color like black, yellow or orange. Green numerals look a little contrived for a military themed watch.

Bro..Really hor? You mean u own for so long liao never see ur watch one? hahaha
I thought i saw one watch that got a bad paint job and then i went on and look at another 7-8 watches on display.. then i realised that almost all of had has their lume painted quite badly on the hands.. Like rock tone liao that.. another one even got a valley.. hhaha
War time leh....all the workers main concern will be whether...my house got kana bombed anot...not whether the watch lume is swee swee anot..as long there can liao..can glow can liao...hahaha....
I not too sure about seiko lume hand painted or not...but i DO KNOW my MM300 lume is 100% hand applied..can see the uneven spots..hehehehe....and no two hands and dials are alike...
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak
Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen
Bro..why WW2 watches cannot have nicely painted lume job leh? last time ppl hands not steady enough?
also..modern seiko hands are machine painted or hand painted?
Haha, I wasn't bothered too much by the uneven-ness of the lume as the numerous versions of the Flightdeck I owned were like that. But I was just contemplating if I should get the color changed and one reason in favor was the uneven paint application.
Hmmm...maybe WW2 watch-makers had to produce them swiftly to enter combat? So the lume anyhow apply lah!
Think I need to get in touch with Bro Reedsco and enquire about luming services. Actually also wondering if places like JW or Tophour can get it done. Guess gotta wait for JW to come back from his long long holiday first : (
