sorry. i think i should have made myself clearer, i was expecting something like X/399, something along the line with sinn 856 limited edtion or the EZM-1 X/250, where X is from 1-max number.

by stating 399. it does not mean there are ONLY 399 pieces. the onus is that we have to trust sinn and THG that there are indeed only 399. if there are truly only 399 pieces, then why not number them individually or are they afraid that pieces like 4, 14, 24, 34, 40-49, 54, etc cannot sell?

hi james, i was at hour glass, mille walk branch. bro's gf bought a U1 black for 3.6k. and u know what, they have more than 1 piece. cos the buckle was faulty and they took out another U1 black to exchange the buckle.

then we went to cortina and my bro bought a bell & ross white dial ceramic for his gf...he got 32% off the list price.

The black is just PVD coating on top of SS and it's tegimented, which should have higher surface hardness in comparison to normal 316L SS. To my knowledge, the Sinn PVD coating is quite thick, the chance that you would see the shiny SS part is rather slim, unless you have a very deep cut. I guess normal wear and tear will not have chance to expose the SS beneath.

many forumers putting them up for sale, some with uncut straps etc. again, if one buys the watch with the intention to wear and enjoy, admire and behol....why was not the strap cut to fit one's wrist? thus the purchase decision is quite clear.

I agree with you bro...I'm also quite confused why people are buying and selling this watch almost immediately after they've got it. To me, its a fantastic looking watch which I can confidently wear it on a daily basis, which I have been doing so since the day I collected mine. And it has been a great conversation piece as well. I'm totally in love with my U Black and I'm proud to wear it. Its quite sad to see it being traded off by people who did not buy it for the love of it...
