  • 11 NEW Line-Up Models...

First and foremost, I gotta say...the new 44mm Carbotech is AWESOME..!!!

    Ok.

Panerai has released 11 new models with some discontinuation of current models and also an interesting thin cased Panerais, 10.5mm(manual winding) and 10.7mm(automatic) to be exact, making into the current model line.

    Luminor Due 3 Days 42mm (PAM00676 and PAM00677)

    Hand-wound,
    42mm wide and 10.5mm high,
steel (PAM676) or red gold (PAM677),
P.1000 movement - three-day power reserve and hacking, zero-reset seconds,
    30m water resistant

    Luminor Due 3 Days Automatic 45mm (PAM00674 and PAM00675)

    Automatic,
    45mm wide and 10.7mm high,
steel (PAM674) or red gold (PAM675),
    P.4000 movement with a micro-rotor,
    30m water resistant

Pics are Pam 676 and 677 , Pam 674 and 675 are similar except for the automatic printing and numeral 9 beside the second hand on the dial...

Five new Luminor 1950 watches, a pair in 42mm and three in 44mm, plus one Carbotech model. All five new Luminor 1950s are equipped with the P.9010. An upgraded version of the existing P.9000 – key improvements are a thinner profile and a balance bridge secured on two sides – the new calibre is automatic with a three-day power reserve, date and an independently adjustable hour hand.

These will replace the equivalent Luminor 1950s with the P.9000 in the current collection. So the PAM1312 will succeed the PAM312, the PAM1359 takes over the PAM359 and so on.

    Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic Acciaio 42mm (PAM01392 and PAM01523)

The smaller Luminor 1950 42mm is available with a white dial featuring dot indices (PAM1523), or the traditional black Panerai dial (PAM1392). The case is just 13.2mm high, and is rated to 100m.

    Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic Acciaio 44mm (PAM01312, PAM01359 and PAM01499)

The larger Luminor 1950 44mm also available in white (PAM1499) or black (PAM1312), as well as a third option in black with Arabic numerals as hour markers (PAM1359). Case thickness is 15.6mm and depth rating is 300m.

Luminor Marina 1950 Carbotech 3 Days Automatic (PAM00661)

Case made from the carbon composite Panerai debuted on the Luminor Submersible Carbotech last year. The case gets its distinctive striped pattern from the layered carbon fibre sheets that comprise the material. Equipped with the P.9010 movement, while the carbon composite case is 44mm in diameter and rated to 300m.

Best is....It is not a Special Edition...!

Radiomir Firenze 3 Days Acciaio (PAM00672)

Last is a successor to the Radiomir Firenze of last year. PAM672 is similar decorated on the case, but also features an engraved movement.

        Limited Edition of 99 pieces.

Some side profile of the slim case...

          Pam 676 manual winding steel...

          Pam 675 automatic red gold...

Due to its slim case, the water resistant dropped drastically by 10x from 300m to 30m...surely Panerai is marketing this as a dress watch of which I much prefer if they stick to the 1940 Radiomir case for the slim dress watch category.

Never care for dress watches but can see where Panerai is coming from. The Luminor with the trademark crown guard is just too good not to be milked into a dress watch.

Who cares about water resistant? Who cares about push pin? Who cares about snap back case? This is a dress watch after all.

The Carbotech on the other hand....is awesome!

                Everything awesome I like it.

But the 1312/ 1359 suck but in the same time awesome.

Why suck, example 1312 just like a special edition of 312 but not. Just adding one number and one item. Why awesome, the blue second hand superb yeah.

It it can't be special edition cause it's a replacement of the discontinued 312, 359 and 499.

Whats interesting is, they are reusing the model numbers with an addition of the number 1 together with the original model number instead of giving it a new one. Just like Rolex when they upgrade their models from the 5 digits to the 6 digits; 14060 to 114060.

44mm Carbotech is awesome but a 44mm Submersible Carbotech is OMG...!!!

Agreed that they should introduced a 44 mm Sub in the 1000m category which is now empty after the discontinuation of the 243.

If the 44mm Carbotech sub were to come in, it could be a replacement of the discontinued Pam 25 but it could be a Special Edition release as well following the last year 47mm Carbotech Submersible.

We can only hope and see.

47mm sub enough. We need 44mm sub. No need 1000m 300m enough.

Though they have discon Pam 25, they would need to discon the Pam 24 as well before anything.

While the 1000m has been gone since 4 to 5 years ago with M being the last serial.

As long 44mm sub will do. Just the issue how's the design going to be.
