The Bettarini cases has never had the REG T.M. on its crown guard since the first one was produced. Infact the Bettarini cases was actually a "new" case produced by Alessandro Bettarini during the rebirth of Panerai back in 1993 after Panerai's military contract with the Italian Navy was over.

It is however recognised as the Father of Pre-Vendome but since it's not a
"vintage" case (1950 case), it never had the REG T.M. engraved on its crown guard.

That being said, though the 1950 cases are considered to be "vintage" Panerai style case and together with it comes the engraving of the REG T.M. on the crown guard, not all of the 1950 cases have the crown guard marked with the REG T.M. though most are.
