  • Not some...it is most SA are stuck up...esp when you wear t shirt and jeans...hehehe....hey..it is sunny singapore here...SA expect customers to wear suits or tuxs to buy watches...anyway i dun waste my time with ADs...prefer pre-loved or grey market dealers...at least they do have better manners...and attitude....

but u can try to bargain with them......maybe they can give u the same discount, cos afterall, the financial result of the big 3 (sincere, hour glass and cortina) r not doing that well.
Only customers who buy regularly from ADs can get discount or on their priority list. Others

      • Ya agreed bad experience with them... Especially with Panerai... Cos they are selling well and the SAs just give a take it or leave it attitude.

Another one joining the club...the first decision is Manual or Auto.

If manual, next decision is with small second hand or not. If you like simple design with no small second hand, go for 112 (black) or 114 (white). If you like the small hand, go for 111 (b) or 113 (w).

If auto, range is much larger but the basic would be Luminor Marina (104 or 164). Then you proceed to the more functional watches..GMT (88, 297, 161); Submersible (24, 25); Power Reserves (90); Chrono (250, 251), Radiomir (287, 288) and finally the Manifattura series (233, 268, 270...)

But the thing with PAM is this, the model you want is usually not easily available and so, it's pretty much just see what's in stock and if you like any of them. Good luck!!

                        • Good start would be the one of the following:

                          from the Historic range

                          - PAM 000 , the most basic and probably the best model which represents the icon
                          - PAM 005 , similar to 000 with the small second hand, this is one of the most advertised model in the last 5 - 7 years
                          - 183, if you like a more dressy version

all of the above would be a good starter , and also pricing will not be too prohibitive

question: is it true that only manual winding PAMs have see-thru back case?
