S$9800 for 351 seems a good price when the MRSP in SG is 11.2k. I should be getting mine from Milan and hopefully can i get a good deal out of it.
now, the 351 or the 422...... or both? 351 for weekday and 422 for weekend sounds really good... i'm such a *****.Wife is not going to be too happy...
IMO, I would get either one but not both because both looks almost exactly the same... the 422 being bigger and missing the date only. That's why I bought a 219 Destro to compliment my 351. A base Pam and a Pam with complications! I am set, for a while before the poison comes again.
Ah... a Bronzo or a 372, my targets...
BUT OF COURSE, this is my own opinion and I respect your decision any how you decide! Buy what you love and not what others say!

like you, i will be owning my first pam soon. currently having a dilemma between the 351 and the 422. i like the date function and the lightness as well as the gold hands on the 351. but when i put on the 422, the 47mm just looks sooo good despite my small wrist (my current watch is a Omega Speedmaster) and not to mention its everlasting classic look. omg.... which should i get??
if is it ok, could you pm me how much you paid for the 351? it will give me a good price comparison for better a better judgement. cheers! Most importantly, you have tried on a 47mm and it fits! I have not had the chance to try a 47mm Luminor 1950 but from my limited experience, the 44mm is just about as big as I can go, especially with only a 6.25" wrist.
May I suggest you compare the 372 and 422 instead? Here's some feedback: http://www.network54.com/Forum/35339...422+vs+PAM+372
Sorry to throw a spanner in your thought process!
The reason for me getting the 351 was because of its smaller size, the seconds sub-dial,date, gold hands and sandwich tobacco face. And it gives me a chance to get other models that are different from my 351!
As for the pricing, I bought it from an overseas AD for around S$9,800 in Nov 2012.
Cheers and happy hunting!

Gunny Dark Oil Series is on the way!
Customised length with a GPF Sandblasted buckle. As you can see, there is no holes!
Went out today and got myself one of these:
Any suggestions on punching the buckling hole exactly for my wrist is much appreciated!
Can't wait!

As for the titanium case, from what I hear, it is less prone to scratches but of course, you cannot just polish off any scratches like other SS Panerai. Only ways that I know of are to either get a titanium scratch pen (if the scratches are small) or to send your watch in (if the scratches are worse).
Till date, not a single scratch on the titanium case but there are the usual hairline marks on the SS dial, due to usage.

Guess it is time to show the customised new straps on my wife's 219. Had quite a bit of PMs regarding the Monster Tail croc strap too, so here are some photos!
Dark Navy Monster Tail Croc Strap
But her fav is this Boa Snake in Black & Beige Strap
Boa Snake in Black & Beige Strap
Both are 24/24, 115/63mm and comes with polished Pre-V buckles and have 1 single floating wide keeper each.
Took about 1-2weeks for customisation and delivery to my home.
Cheerio!
