my wrist is 6.75", 44mm looks just nice
47mm would be too big, 42mm would be slightly too small

My wrist is ard 6.5"... I am wearing watches with sizes ranging from 44mm - 55mm without any problem leh... It is all depends on how u like the watch to be appeared on your wrist... 2mm really does not make big diff lah...

Buying Panerai has to be big and you will get used to the size. 44mm is normal size, the new models are 47mm!

Depends on your perception... Do not like lugs of the watch hanging out of my wrist...

Actually it just take you a while to get used to it. I have small wrist too but I have a 47mm 268 Radiomir & also a 392 42mm Luminor. Both look great, perhaps you should put it on & see if your heart goes racing. What you could do is to use a slightly thinner strap & a smaller buckle. Like if you are wearing a 44mm size, use 24mm/22mm, this wont look too big or bulky. I am doing 26mm/22 or 24 at the buckle.

                      Alfa Spider 3.2 V6- now
                      Alfa 4C- maybe next time

i tink it depends on the design of the watch. especially the design of the bezel as it will make the dial looks big/small correspondingly. personally i used to own SINN U1 & i have a 6.5inch wrist. Seats nicely for a 44mm.
