Defeats the purpose of not having it.... I thought on a "Safari" Lum is good ? Perhaps the Lions will eat you if it had it ? AP is either Dumb or Smart here.... ?LOL

Perhaps safari owners can verify? Lume aside...it is indeed a very nice watch

No doubt about it. AP will be my choice.

Interesting question. I have done a non-scientific study last weekend. I walked from Far East Plaza to 313 and back to Taka. I saw 16 pams (men and ladies) but I only saw 2 AP ROO....

Answering your question, my vote goes to AP (ROO only)....

AP is the natural "upgrade" but would this AP be your daily watch?

I wear my AP more than my Rolex these days...

AP depending on ones ability. Having both is just as good.

I would go for the AP. And only Royal Oak versions.

ROOs are becoming like fashion statements amongst young collectors. Just like how Panerai has evolved.
How would you feel if you saw Jarno Trulli's bearded face or Arnie Schwaznegger's muscles appear magically before you everytime you gazed at your watch to tell the time?

                      My 2cents.

How do people in general perceive AP brand value? I never really bothered about AP because I think their prices are out of reach. I can afford simple Panerai models more comfortably.

AP is a natural upgrade as someone said earlier....

AP for sure. AP has a rich heritage and long history. AP is and will always be an aspirational piece.

My vote goes for AP too.
I'm aiming the AP15400 blue dial.
Such a lovely piece, especially with the newly improved lugs designed to fit and wear better.
