Be prepared for SGD 500 worth of servicing hor, thats what happen to me. They remove all parts, service, lubricate, change/add the oil (well, that's what they claim).
They also polish your watch including the bracelet.
Look super good like new after the servicing, and you will need to wait about 2 months before you get back your watch.
You will get 2 years warranty from the date of servicing.

The service at the service centre (Wheelock place) sucks big time.
I waited 2 hours during lunch time and still not my turn in the q to send it in for servicing.
In the end, I super tu lan and ended up going to the Omega boutique at Raffles city and pass it to them to handle.

I had a big fight with the customer service at Wheelock place and also we almost ended up in small claim court, but that's another story for another day.
In my honest opinion, customer service is non-existence or just a lip service there!

I did, but they eventually cook up some excuse that the watch was dead when i bought it in. I newbie also mah, then i ok. Thereafter i called later and asked how come now is like that, then they say just now tell me dead liao mah. This happened at JW, when i went to do the verification. I bought this off yahoo from a seller, seeing that the condition is amazingly quite good, then i bought it from him. Wrist time i think is so little, and the watch is 2.5yrs to be exact. I would think that for an auto watch to be dead, is like a super serious case also. When i think it's like auto leh, how come can like that? Some more 2.5yrs nia, how come so fast can dead? JW is not the authorised repair place for omega mah, they will do anything meh?

I am shocked leh, 500 bucks. Cos i was thinking if JW did something just so that i would do my servicing with them. Small claims? Oh you did the case thing? But catch is JW only provides 1yr of warranty, omega offers 2yrs ah? They state mah min $350, +GST maybe about 370+? Wah how come 500 oh? They chop carrot ah?

I am thinking now to send it down and check to see what happened on the watch lor, Omega brand leh 2.5yrs break down quite serious liao on the branding right? Like that next time who still buy omega?

To be honest, this is the first I hear of. And to be fair to Omega, I think they produce very good and reliable watches, and their retail, I feel, is underpriced compared to other luxury brands around. Yours is probably an exception. Those speedmasters that I own still run strong after many years...

Pam is right about the service centre and the rate he mentioned is very accurate too. Try to go early in the morning if possible. It's normally packed from lunchtime onwards.

if the watch is really 2.5 years old and no modification is done on this watch,
i think Omega should do something for the consumer, or else it is really unhealthy for Omega.

it is up to JW. anyway, u can always tell them what they intend to do. if they refuse to do acknowledge it is their part, assuming that the watch was in working condition prior to u bring it in, then you can always bring it to some relevant authorities to see if something can be done.

else you can bring back to omega service centre. alternatively, u can bring it to other repairers to seek second opinion.

Hi guys, i just come back from Omega the service centre. I was quoted min 640 bucks for servicing. However the watch is now running. So i now also not sure how and who what etc.

However yesterday after collection of watch from JW, there seems like it didn't function any more. And from the service centre, they says that there were traces of knock, and they showed me the location. Internally they say some mechanism is not working very well and needs to do a full service. I wonder what does partial service does? I am 100% sure there wasn't any knocks present before i sent into JW. A bit regret now send to them. I wonder if like that can go to case, and see what they can do about it.

It seems pretty obvious that JW caused the "dead watch", and eventually Omega managed to revive it amazingly.

was this watch bought brand new by u or is it a pre-owned? if bought brand new and no knocks before, then most likely the source of knocks is from.....

there are 2 ways to look @ it now, if u pay 640 for a full service, most likely all problems should be solved for at least 1 year or however long omega warranty its service.

alternatively, if u do partial now, u need to send it in again. might cost more. who knows.

If the watch is working...dun bother first, wear all the way. Unless cannot work then u send for full service

pre owned, i agreed also to wear 1st and then see how later

Also i found another cheaper place to do servicing, but reliability not sure yet. Comparing to 640, it's a steal i think...

Well, at least now you know the maximum damage is 640, with 2 years warranty.

Ask if that cheaper place provide warranty, otherwise you might need to service it again within 2 years which may eventually cost more than spending 640 with Omega.
