  • Where do I go to remove strap

    Hi bros,

I need to change the strap of a submariner to nato one.
    Here's the tricky part.

The watch is from my bro to my dad for CNY. Despite what my bro says, I don't think it is original but i cant tell my dad that. i went to a neighbourhood watch shop and they couldnt take it out.

    Question:
    1. Where do i go to remove the metal strap to change to nato?
    2. How much will it cost?

    Thank you.

use a spring bar removal tool.

one side is used for pin hole model while the other end is a fork end that helps to push back the spring bar

most watch shop should be able to assist.

Actually I have e same situation with you before. Several watch shop doesn't entertain you cos they are afraid to scratch the watch. I went to far east plaza to change it. Opposite HJ watches. Cost me 15 bucks only.

                        Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for your advice.

I went back to Chronoswiss and the guy did it for me for free. *If you wana go there its on level 2 Sim Lim Square.

So I thought it'd be nice to buy a few more straps for my dad. And also thanks for the offer to verify it. I've verified from my brother that he bought a fake one during his trip to KL.

I apologise for letting my dad use a fake watch but it's more important that he's happy. For my current economic situation I cannot afford to buy him an authentic one but I'm saving.

                        I have 1 more question.

My dad loves Popeye. So I'm thinking of purchasing a popeye watch and changing the interior of his watch with the Popeye hands or even the face.

                        Is this possible?

I know it sounds crazy but since it's fake I dont mind risking it for his bday. He'll be pleased.

How do you verify authenticity of watch?
Will you just check on the outside or you will even open up the watch?
