Probably between 3 per cent and 5 per cent, depending on models?
To give you some idea, I have records of the price differences of some models over recent years:
Daytona 116520 (discon model)
- S$15650 (2013)
- S$16100 (2016)
Deepsea Seadweller 116660
- S$15780 (2013)
- S$16240 (2016)
Explorer I 214270 (both discon & current model)
- S$8260 (2012)
- S$8520 (2013)
- S$8770 (2017)
Explorer II 216570
- S$10360 (2014)
- S$10880 (2017)
Milgauss GV 116400
- S$10710 (2015)
- S$11020(2017)
Enough?

Hard to say; seems unlikely at the moment. Of course ROLEX watch value will depreciate as much as they appreciate. Among the sports models, some of those that had seen depreciation include the ROLEX Explorer 1, GMT-Master II (SS, black bezel), Milgauss GV, the 'discon' Milgauss models (black and white dial).Originally posted by frewxxx View PostWill Rolex Explorer 1 114270 holds it value? Any chance a rolex watch value will depreciate?

Thanks for this man. I'm contemplating getting a Milgauss or an Explorer 1 to add in my collection. I currently own 16610, 16613LN and 116523.. Maybe a day date is more ideal as it holds it value and a dress watch would be nice too.Originally posted by Oceanklassik View PostHard to say; seems unlikely at the moment. The retail price of the 116600 in 2012 should be $13,590, if I'm not mistaken. It later went up to $13,990 before it was discontinued early last year. $12K for a decent full set is a good price.Originally posted by anson880621 View PostRolex sea dweller 116600 year 2012
12k good price?

Are you sure?! Have you checked the price of a new Day-Date (DD) vs a pre-owned DD? I'm not so sure if a DD holds its value
