Although DD or DJ may not hold their value as good as the sports models, I simply love the former so will hold on to mine.

Thanks for the info on the price increase n upcoming gst increase in 2021 sure to drive up rolex prices.

The peculiarity of luxury watches (not just ROLEX) is that, the stainless steel (SS) models are often more 'precious' than their precious metals models

It is all about demand-and-supply. Most often than not, the SS models tend to be higher in demand and lesser in supply, hence, the higher resale value. Those in half/full precious metals are the opposite, and so, the lower resale value. Best is to buy what you truly like and want to own and use.

ROLEX "no-date" Submariner has reference no. "114060".
ROLEX Ref. 114060 comes only in stainless steel and no titanium model as far as I know.

"Maybe a day date ... it holds it value .."

Are you sure?! Have you checked the price of a new Day-Date (DD) vs a pre-owned DD? I'm not so sure if a DD holds its value

    12k good price?
The retail price of the 116600 in 2012 should be $13,590, if I'm not mistaken. It later went up to $13,990 before it was discontinued early last year. $12K for a decent full set is a good price.
