the GMT master II pepsi bezel was one where many were calling for. it finally arrives. this time round, it comes with a jubilee bracelet because it cannot be released with oyster bracelet as it is not possible to distinguish between the white gold and steel since both appearance are similar.

did rolex got it right? it has answered the calls of many rolex fans.
with jubilee bracelet? i reserve my opinion till i see the actual piece on my wrist

the GMT master II oyster steel with everrose gold looks tempting.

IMO, it would seem more appropriate for the jubilee bracelet to be used on the white gold (WG) Pepsi, and an oyster bracelet on the steel (SS) model instead. Especially now, when you have two Pepsi models - one in WG, one in SS. Or have ROLEX discon the WG Pepsi

when rolex launch the pepsi bezel in WG, they may or may not have thought about the jubilee bracelet.

now that they decided to have the pepsi bezel on a SS model as well, they would have to change the appearance so that there is a way to tell both watches apart.

I believe for the WG version, there's a slight change on the dial, from black to blue. If Rolex didn't give the new Pepsi in Jubilee, it would have self kill their WG version.

I am tempted by the deepsea blue. But need to see it in person to determine if it is too thick.

WG caters to the more affluent segment so it's unlikely they'll discon it.

I see, ok. At least ROLEX is giving the WG model a dial-makeover to differentiate.

Normally, if this model actually surfaces here, soonest may be around July onwards.

i have tried putting my names in the reserve list but it rarely works , especially for popular models.

Was hoping for something special in the larger sized models. Not inspired by the deep sea in two tone. There is always next year...

The GMT II with jubilee bracelet..

It got me thinking, would Rolex do only jubilee bracelet for SS going forward?

Or would they change the case in the next few years again to accommodate oyster bracelet back for SS?

IMO, in the future, jubilee = precious metals, oyster = ss.

So the older models are going to stand out.
