i went to the raffles city Rolex boutique and the sales person told me that there is no discount for the watch...

is this the standard for other ADs as well?

agree, buy from grey dealers have BIG BIG discount

I really see no reason to buy from ADs when there are plenty of grey imports priced much lower here in the forum. Rolex has international warranty and if you are afraid of getting fakes, pay $75 to authenticate at RSC. All my watches are from grey dealers and this is what I tell myself...every watch I buy, the money I save can be used to buy a LV bag for my wife.

Mine from germany, most importantly is to buy with warranty card. Visited Rsc couple ot times for warranty issues, no problem. They still service for you, no difference. If i were to buy local set, it will cost me at leat 7k for a 16610 m serial but bought it at less than that.

I got mine from Swiss and the savings can be pretty substantial if the AD can give you a discount I agree... min 1K SGD.
