    Interesting Article for Newbies: How to Buy a Watch

    I just found this article while google-ing around yesterday. Its quite informative. They say there are 50 brands around, but the top 2 of the pyramid are ... drums roll pls... Rolex and Patek!

    They also listed some watches. Among them are of course Daytona!

    And the 5 classic watches they listed:
    1. Rolex Submariner

    2. Omega Speedmaster

    3. Cartier Santos

    4. Tag Heuer Monaco

    5. Movado Museum

                        Another interesting article from Business Times in beginning 07... cached from google. The 3 CEOs from Sincere, Hourglass and LVMH are interviewed.

                        Interestingly, the 3 CEOs were asked which watches they would recommend from
                        up to 3K
                        3K-10K
                        More than 10K.

                        I think the recommendations are awfully biased, esp the funny choices from the LVMH CEO. I know some friends would also roll their eyes at the idea of a Sinn (HG CEO's choice), although I also know some prominent pple here are fans.

                        U guys have your own choices?

                          their recommendation will have to be biased. each watch dealer has its own brands to promote.

                          u can only get sinn from HG. zenith from sincere.

                          however, it is all up to individual. like pet, he got sinn, graham, rolex. probably got from different dealers
