      I don't understand, so what if one is a Rolex technician.. He still needs a dead body in order to get a new one from Rolex right ?? unless of course it is not a original part.

      Actually, this ruling of Rolex (and I'm sure the governance of this rule must be very strict) makes me pretty convinced that no one except rolex themselves can repair their own watch. Anyone else can only service your watch without parts replacement unless it is old parts..cannaibalised from old watches. New orginal parts there is only one source and it is non accessible by 3rd party...

            they say to protect consumer of authentic watches, but I feel it is to monopolise their own brand.
