  • RED second-hand vs. GREEN second-hand

With the celebration of 50th aniversary, most of the new Rolex come in GREEN second-hand. Do you prefer the old RED second-hand design or the new GREEN second-hand design? Or any other colour sugguestions? Pink?

green for me as it is more aesthetically appealing, but red second hand is very bright against the background.

GMT is a tool watch. It's not about aesthetics but ease of use.
The red hand has been in use since 1950s before rolex was very popular. The green one is created at this time when rolex is a luxury brand.

Would a green hand or a red hand be visible in very low air cabin lights (almost completely dark) at night?

            The answer is clear.

The red hand works. The green hand is more about aesthetics.

Unless the green hand is lumed...
is it? I don't know... haven't seen the 116710 at night.

Red more 'garang' and green class ... I love both.
