Yeah lor no choice LL la...just live with it. But personally GMT II coke/pepsi...it's out of my list already.Originally posted by watchlobby View PostThe retail now for GMT II is 9+K if you can get a fresh set from AD. The era of 5-6K is no more, I myself missed it too. I didn't even want to think about a GMTII when people selling for 4K. Now, after 3 years... its history.... Have to move with times...

GMTII priced out of reach
........ I had chance to buy one (pepsi) many years ago. Customer walked in and asked for valuation, I offered him A$1.5K (no b&p) he wanted A$2.2k.

No need 10k ... Still can get one at a reasonable $$ overseas. Local market spoilt by people lobbying for watch to be above 10k.
Anyway, unless u collector, better buy is the GMTIIc ... cos chances is u'll use it without worry rather than if you get the GMTII 3186.
Cheers!

Cannot ar.. 16710-3186 movement now.. 10K is EXTREMELY rare even overseas as stocks of it are dwindling. I was quoted by a few sellers ranging from just under 10K to 13/4K...Originally posted by SabaDen View PostNo need 10k ... Still can get one at a reasonable $$ overseas. woo hoo...i got the 16710 before the 2% GST hike last year...and it was a pretty good deal..Originally posted by Darkangel View Post16710
didnt know that its such a popular model....
the only sad thing is that I didnt manage to get the black/red which i wanted initially, I waited till the last minute before heading to HG, by then its already sold out...darn. Coming to 1 year, I have grown to enjoy the classic pepsi look as well.......

Me too...got my black/red GMT II last year and my intention is to get the full black but got to pay extra of $800 (forget it).Originally posted by evets View Postwoo hoo...i got the 16710 before the 2% GST hike last year...and it was a pretty good deal..

The AD was telling me that pepsi is more popular in US whereas Asia is more on Coke.

I understood from various country's AD that the all black is now the less popular among the 3 bezels. And on the resale market now, the blue/red commands the highest value in some countries.. So, hold on tight to your watches... :-)
