Go back to the shop and from there, call the Police. But make sure the watch in question is still there. Or, you may use the soft approach to explain the situation, so as to get them to take out the bracelet to verify the no. If it is not your watch, it also saves them the embarrassment. If it is, then you hit bull's eye.

    Do it quickly!

i think you are looking at the wrong part. you will have to remove the bracelet at the 6 o'clock position to see serial number. because based on your description, it seems like it doesnt have the engraved "rolexrolexrolex..." around the dial.

      ok ask you..
      1) When did you get the watch?
      2) Can you disclose the first 2 characters of the serial number (determine whether your watch has serial inbetween the lugs or just above the dial)

Do you happen to try the watch on? If it is yours, then the bracelet will fit you perfectly, without any adjustments.

can you answer the following 2 questions

            1) do you have a warranty certificate/card for the watch you claim you have misplaced.

            2) have you made any police report?

                HELP!!!
In the first place, you say they wrote a different serial number. I don't think the licensed pawn shop will lie about the watch serial number & sell you another one. They will lose their license.

Now you say confirmed 99% it's your watch without even seeing the serial number?! Come on, your lady datejust mother of pearl face is very common watch. You better think twice about making a big commotion in the pawn shop to save your embarrassment later.

Yes. Once a call is made to the Police, a report is considered made.

Suggest u show interest to buy it, bring along money also. Before deal, insist to be shown the series no.

If series no matched yours, call the police. (Don't forget to bring along your cert)

If don't match, buy it to replace your lost one. Hopefully your mommy will not be able to tell the difference. However, pls get it verify at RCS, this will also clear doubt if series no got "re-engrave" anot.

Last advice, make sure to get pawn shop to issue you a receipt with series no written clearly and state a clause to say if this watch can't pass verification at RCS, u can demand FULL refund.

                    Good luck

Act fast or else difficult to find once it's sold cos they won't reveal buyer's info.

Other than that, it's also hard to find 1 that's so similar (mop dial) that u yourself also can't tell the difference.
