Buying Rolex and Panerai in London

    Hi Guys,

    Good day.

Any recommendation of a good watch retailer to visit for Rolex or Panerai in London as I will be heading there for work next week?

I have done some research and so far I found two retailers, Wempe UK and Mappin & Webb in the city. Also Mappin & Webb at heathrow T5 but my flight back is at T3......

Also much appreciated if you can share the prices of rolex or panerai if you have recently shopped in the UK and also how the VAT was processed (did you get the amount credited to you via credit card at the airport?).

Thanks guys.... really last minute I know but much appreciated!

The SS models usually aren't discounted but in recent times I have heard of some of the smaller European based dealers giving a small % - its like 5% due to the current economic crisis.Dealers like Wempe / Bucherer do not usually discount at all but they tend to stock the latest series and have the availability. Smaller AD's in Europe tend to have limited selection or a holding older series .

What abt brands like PP and AP?

Of coz, model availability is definitely an issue, even for Rolex... Unlike Singapore, the ADs may be far apart in the countries, so it may not be feasible to visit different shops to compare price/ bargain and check availability.

What about getting it in EU? Similar? Or more? Think the weak euro is on our side.

not sure which brand you referring to. also know that buying from overseas means you need to know if the shop is a AD or not first.

second, if buy overseas, you need to be concern about security as well as you do not know if you are being watched.

if you follow the principle of check price in sg first, then go overseas see the same model price and compare you should be safe.

if the price difference is less than 200 after currency exchange and tax rebate, i suggest buying from sg if you intend to buy more pieces. otherwise, can consider purchase overseas

Depends if Paris AD is giving any discount and also the VAT return in Paris. Generally, for Milgauss in Singapore discount is between 5-10%.

    Rolex in Paris

    Hi guy

Sorry if this had been answered before. I traveling to paris and interested to get Rolex Milgauss watches, is it cheaper to get it in Paris than in Singapore?

Anyone know what is the expected price to pay?
