Thanks very much for the detailed guide and recommendations. Will certainly check out Dubail. Cheers!

If you're heading off to Paris, its a really nice city to check out watches there are quite a few jewellery shops that sell rolexes . I would recommend heading to Place Vendome and checking out an AD named Dubail as it has an excellent selection and also an excellent display + jewellery. There is also a Wempe branch there and another AD - Jean Mick which I can recommend. VAT is around net 14% which you should be able to claim in cash form in the city rather than at the airport. There is a company called the international exchange group on 79 avenue champs elysees which will give you the cash there and then but you still need to have the correct documentation stamped at the airport and send it back to them. They will take the details of your credit card when you get the cash. They act as an agent for VAT refund companies like Global blue; Premier tax and do charge a small adminstative fee. Discount wise the sub in SS will probably not be discounted but the explorer is not really that popular in Europe so there might be a chance of getting a small ammount taken off.

Anyone know the price of Rolex and VAT rebate in Paris? Going there next week and thinking of getting the Sub or Explr. Any advise? Thanks in advance!

    after 13.8% rebate = sg8,600
    that's a good deal for the pam312

    Hi u definitely will save
in Uk, rolex ex 2 white dial is going at 5530pounds and that's before 14% VAT refund and it's from a normal shop not even the dutyfree

the pam 312 is cheaper too

BUT the IWC portofino 8d is more ex. weird

You would not get the full 8% though. Check global refund for the net VAT refund for Switzerland.

The thing is that it's very difficult to find the model you want.....tried that on several ocassions in Milan....well maybe I've been shopping at the wrong places.
