Hi almighty00, I hv been to this shop Salvadori in venice. They hv 2 outlets, one at san marco square. ..another bigger shop abt 5- 10 min walk from the square. Quite good collection they had and willing give some discount depending on model. Happy hunting.

Hi all,

I'm heading over to europe this month end. Am looking to getting one Daytona Stainless Steel with black face. I'll be travelling in this sequence:

1. Italy -> Rome, Florence, Venice,
2. England -> London
3. France -> Paris.

As i'm going on a Free and easy trip wondering anyone could advice me if there's any specific shops which i could lookout for to purchase it.

I agreed... Milan or Rome for that matter.

Don't ever get in UK, it's expensive even with the low exchange rate. Their Tax rebate also not that good, though claim to be 20%....
it's like 10% only after all the sale & admin charges.

Yes, Milan Italy is currently the place to get a good discount especially for that model. Its not very popular.

I can recommend e-mailing Wempe in London or Paris for a quote. If you really want to buy at a good price and discount I would actually recommend taking a day trip to Milan and buying from Pisa Orologeria . Its a short flight and not 2 expensive with Easyjet from London or Manchester.

Expensive or cheaper

is it more expensive or cheaper if buy rolex in switzerland as im flying there next month

from what i know (prove me wrong if you can), goods manufactured in a country and exported is usually cheaper then goods sold locally.

ie. an asus laptop sold in taiwan will be more expensive then the same laptop sold in s'pore.

so i was told.... so i could have been given wrong info

valid for IT stuff as my cousin kicked a fuss when he found that asus cost a shade more in taiwan but his consolation is that the latest model is sold there much earlier than other country ... on watches esp Japs ones, certain models esp the limited ed were sold only in Japan and no where else, ... saving is small if any, this info was given to me by a watch sales executives on my last work trip there in 2002 ... I cant cfm whether its still valid tdy.
