You should be able to get a fairly good deal overall as those models that you mentioned aren't really that popular especially the DSSD.
Last year when I was in Germany the MSRP for a TT Gmt 2 C was 9210 Eu and AD's like Wempe and Bucherer did mention that they would discount that model as these were primarily V series and have been in stock for some time as well. The SS versions are all current G and alphanumeric and do not tend to be discounted as they are often sold quite easily( from memory it worked out to be around 10% for TT models) and the net Vat refund was 14%.

    Rolex from EU

    Hi all,

travelling to europe in sep and intending to get a DSSD and maybe a TT GMT2c.

anyone has any idea on the discounts/savings and the nett price after?

What are the savings structure like? thinking should be quite substantial, the VAT rebate and the weak euro.

wondering how much i can save? DSSD locally going at 15.8k-

It will depend on the part of Europe that you're travelling to. Currently Germany is kind of the best overall( selection; availability;high VAT refund+ discounts) and I would recommend, Bucherer or Wempe . Swtizerland is a fantastic country to travel through to look at watches and scenery but the pricing is definitely not the best at all and neither is the VAT refund.

Austria has these 2 major AD's as well. In France Dubail in Place Vendome; Greece - Patseas; Italy- Pisa Orologeria.

Stocks for certain popular models may not be there everytime.

All the best But to me...the watch shopping scene there cannot make it hahaha

Go to Knightsbridge Rolex exclusive boutique (walking distance from Harolds) Should have much more choices than other shops. Look for a Chinese lady by the name of LuLu, very service oriented and knowledgeable. If I remember correctly, should be 13.8% refund back to card. The saleslady actually follow up for me when my refund still didn't come in after 6 weeks.

Given the advantage of current exchange rates and VAT rebates, frankly.... I would go for brand new piece from ADs. Not to mention, peace of mind too.

    Happy Shopping!
