if this is the exact words coming out of your regular SE, can always complain to CASE about price fixing. but is the chances of winning high? you decide.

but more important, why is AD controlling discount? is there an invisible hand working behind the scene?

Seems rather true as what I was told and have posted here some time ago. The way to increase their prices is by reducing the discounts. At the end of the day, it will no longer matter which AD you patronise anymore because all 'should' sell at equal prices. And this is further going to extend to the regional countries, which means that a Submariner 'should' cost the same whether you buy it in Singapore, Malaysia or even Brunei. Let's see how this goes.

I happen to be looking for a 10-pt diamond datejust at the moment. Visited my regular AD at THG, and was told that wef tis couple months they cannot give >15% discount for any rolex model!!! Seems like the standard is 12-15% for walk-in customers?

I thought it is still 15% discount at this point at Local AD no matter which one you go to? Eg. in Orchard or china town, etc...? Though there are talks of price increase.

Just got a V day present and we manage to get above 15%.

i also shopping for one for my wife.. went to Shop A, offered 12%... after talk a bit offered 15%....
Then to Shop B, straight away offer 15% but their list price is higher... after discount is like Shop A - 12%....

Sigh... this buying experience is really testing my shopping limits...
