When ur Rolex is not moving(stored) for sometime

When u have not been using the rolex and its not moving, what is the correct way to "re-ignite" it ?

Just by shaking the watch, or turn the knob ? Plse advise as I plan to wear my sub non date for occasions only.

after setting the time. rotate the crown about 10-20 times to give the mainspring some energy. then once you wear it, it should continue 'charging' the watch power

For me,when I want to wear it,I will just adjust the time then shake it alittle. If you are wearing it then don't need to wind.

rotate the crown forward aka crown is on the left side of watch and u facing the dial

tat is clockwise... lol... tink u'll feel slight resistance when u r winding correctly..
