    Happy New Year!
Being an amateur, does anyone know whether Rolex uses its own movements or an ETA movement or some other movement?

Thanks for the replies - So just to clarify, rolex never used an ETA or a modified ETA? I have abet with a friend about this one. He seems to think that some rolex uses modified ETA

I read somewhere that some f the early daytonas (ref:727) employed the valjoux cal.72 movement. But this was way before eta bought over valjoux.

Hi bro, I believe ETA refers to the company that design and produce movements .

Actually, it stands for estimated time of arrival.

But in watch speak it refers to ETA SA Manufacture Horlogere Suisse
