a quick check, how long can the watch last w/o wearing and winding? i stopped wearing it at ard 3pm yesterday and the watch stopped at ard 6pm today... is it normal?

yup yup... i didnt wind it... i thought as long as i wear it, i dun have to wind.. haha...
so must wind abit even if im wearing huh?

As long as you are wearing there isn't really a need for winding. Unless you are taking it out for a long time. How long did you wear the watch b4 u take it off?

one is to keep the watch wound up so that all parts are lubricated. the downside of this is that it is possible that parts wear out faster since it is constantly moving.
another is to let it be when it stops and wind it when want to wear. the parts dont wear out faster since not constantly moving. the downside is that it is possible the lubricants are all on one side of the watch ie if u place the case back down, it is mainly @ the bottom. if u rest on its sides, the lubricants are 'consolidated' @ its side. then if it so happens to 'harden' and when the watch is being wound, it may damage the parts.
so see which thinking you want to believe.

but i just felt it's a bit glam to wear it to work...
i know it's not an expensive rollie and from far, people wont realised that it is a rollie (thats why i like it.. hehe) but i still feeel very consicous when wearing it... haha...
yesterday's sunday times quite interesting.......... as in many singaporeans wearing expensive watches and carrying designer bags.... even to wet markets .....
but then most of the time, rolex watches are so common that even coffeeshop aunties also wearing ladies TT DJ leh...... haha

a pre-owned Y-series 114270 Explorer 1...
cannot believe i will buy a rolex until 1 year ago, when this pre-owned shop owner told me "there is a rolex for everyone..." and showed me explorer 1.. have set my sights on it since then.. finally made the commitment... hehe..
got it at $4.1k.. w/o box etc.. but in great condition..
hope i got a gd deal...
