Hi all, new to rollies, and the bug bites fast and furious. In a space of a month, bought 2new pieces: an explorer 42mm, and later a black sub. Both black dials. Now contemplating flipping the black sub for the hulk... what do you guys think? Sitting on the fence here....
Go with your heart.....I bought a black SS Submariner some time back and a bit regretted now that i didn't get a Green brezal back then.....
I didnt like the dssd initially, as i find the proportion just not quite right
Until i realise its the bracelet
The 21/18mm just doesnt fit the size of the dssd and its thickness - makes the dssd looks chubby
When i saw the rubber B strap for dssd, the proportion issue is gone
Its a ingenious design that makes the dssd look macho instead of chubby
Rolex should seriously consider making similar rubber straps for its diving watches
Yup! I understand what you mean. That is why, I am intending to get the Rubber B strap if I were to get myself a DSSD.

I have both the Explorer 2 and Hulk. And I love both equally. Personally, I prefer the green sub compared to the black. Maybe becos it is unique in it's own way. If I would want a black dial, there are many other models to choose from. Eg: Explorer 2 or DSSD. I am actually contemplating whether to sell my Explorer 2 and get the DSSD. Haha.
