I am newbie to this forum, I have recently purchased a Datejust Model 1603
according to case no. 255.....series it should be about year 1968, 40 years old. Full ss including the bezel. The vintage look with acrylic cystal on it.
It seems the japanese are looking for this kind of watches these days.
Cheers!

Rough estimate for the older batch which is the 90s batch of Datejusts will cost you ard 3-4k. Additional diamond bezel would be aftermarket and cost less than 1k.

It's hard to compare the newer models with the older 1s,the newer ones are more improved and command a higher price. If you want the older ones with the same face it's much cheaper. So it's quite hard to state prices I would say.
The price I gave you was a guide a rough guide to the older series, without the Hidden clasp for the jubillee bracelet. But similar face...note SIMILAR...Last edited by Darkangel; 12-04-08, 09:15 PM.

what model is this huh?
first of all, i just discovered that this forum is made up of guys mostly... please correct me if i am wrong.
am i right to say that girls/women are the same when it comes to watches as they are with cars - they just buy it and use it, no discussing about it?
can someone please tell me what model number is this watch?

as for anyone selling it, you will have to check the preowned dealers and scout around abit. trust me, it is more exciting to look at the preowned models then it is to buy brand new from AD.
being that the watch you are looking at is sporting a president bracelet, im not too sure if that watch is common around among preowned circles.Last edited by seiko.citizen; 03-05-08, 10:50 AM.Currently wearing:

Firstly I think there is a misunderstanding. What you see in the link is DEFINITELY 100% not what you saw that day.
I think there is not much need to tell you the model number of this model because it's definitely not what you saw but if you insist it's 179179. Why I sa y this is coz this model in the link is a solid 18k White Gold ladies president datejust with diamond markers and MOP face. List price for this is I believe 30-40k.
What you saw that day is most probably...a SS ladies datejust, with diamond markers, and silver dial not MOP dial.
Therefore the model number you are looking for should be 179174,with diamond markers. Preowned for that would set you back I believe 7k? For like a really new 1 but that's hard to find. Chances are...what you find is 69174 or 79174 with the old clasp not the hidden jubilee clasp.
Sry if it sounds confusing...
