King Midas 9630: The ultimate chunk of gold

Many of you may think that the rolex day date (or DD II) is the ultimate chunk of gold that rolex makes.

Is it?

The heaviest chunk of gold rolex ever made is in fact, the King Midas (ref:9630)... of which 1000 pieces were made. It has GOT to be the ultimate gold watch for fans of the DD. Elvis Presley had one.

Indeed very very rare if only 1000 pieces were made.

The design I am trying very hard to appreciate but after staring at it for a while , I still prefer the Iconic Day Date look.
maybe the case looks too plain...too simple and the bracelet looks too omega to me.

There is also a difference between what is rare and what is sought after, there must be a reason why Rolex made the Day Date its "Flagship" the past 50 years.
